What is a vector logo?
If a print vendor or marketing agency asked you for a vector logo, you may be wondering they mean. Files that are made up of pixels are called raster files. You can’t size up a raster file any larger that it the size it is created at because the image contains a finite amount of pixels. If you enlarge it from it’s original size, the image will become blurred or “pixelated.” Vector based files are “object-oriented.” This means that they can be sized up to any size and will still remain crisp and clear. You can change their colors easily or even create .svg files which are great for use on modern websites.
